Cup in the refrigerator
The water fell from 200 mL to 135 mL in 4 days.
It evaporated: its particles left the surface as gas.
The warm cup lost more.
Tap a bar at the height you want.
Assumptions
•
Pour 200 mL into an open cup on a warm windowsill and read the level each day.
•
A second cup in the refrigerator loses less: cooler particles leave the surface more slowly.
•
No water is destroyed. It is in the air as water vapor.
