Assumptions
•
Counted per glucose: aldolase splits the six-carbon sugar in two, so steps 6–10 run twice.
•
Two ATP are spent (hexokinase, phosphofructokinase-1) and four are made (phosphoglycerate kinase, pyruvate kinase): 2 ATP net, with 2 NADH.
•
Each card draws the carbons as dots and the phosphates in orange; the ATP the step uses or makes shows under it once it is placed.

ATP from NADH and FADH₂
Use this for “Oxidizing one pyruvate completely makes 4 NADH, 1 FADH₂ and 1 GTP. How many ATP is that?”
ATP from a fatty acid
Use this for “How many ATP does one stearate (18 carbons) give when it is oxidized completely to CO₂?”
The citric acid cycle, in order
Use this for “Name the enzymes of the citric acid cycle in order. Which steps release CO₂, and which make NADH?”
